Bishop Larry O. Jones, a St. Louis native, was born December 30, 1954. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and graduated from Normandy Senior High School, attended SIU-Edwardsville and completed his studies in Business Administration at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Bishop Jones studied for the ministry at the Reboth Bible Institute founded by the Late Bishop P. L. Scott who was the pastor at Lively Stone Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Bishop Jones was ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in 1979. He served in a number of different ministry positions such as Children’s Ministry Pastor, Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor at Lively Stone Church.

In 1984 Bishop Jones was commissioned to begin a church in North St. Louis County and he became the founding pastor of Greater Grace Church, which began with two members, renting time and space from Epworth Windsor United Methodist Church, now known as Northside UMC.

In 1990 Bishop Jones led the small congregation to build their first permanent church in Moline Acres and then expanded that building in 1994. They grew vigorously and were in need to expand.

In June 2008, Greater Grace built a new 36,000 square foot facility in Ferguson, MO. The church has grown vigorously and has served as a melting pot for the community.

In August 2011 Bishop Jones was consecrated as Diocesan Bishop of the 12th Episcopal District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.

Bishop Jones is an excellent teacher of the Bible with a vision to help people live a successful life by biblical principles.

Bishop Jones is married to Nina Jones and they have two children, Larry II and Tyler.
